This week we continue our sermon series, Closer than Air. We will read from the book of Joshua (Joshua 1:1-18). As the Hebrews continue to listen to God, we will wonder what it means for us to notice to how God is showing up in our lives. Special music will be provided by the Connections Band.
This week we begin our new sermon series, Closer than Air. We will read from the book of Deuteronomy (Deut. 31:1-8) where God is preparing the people to enter the promised land. Pastor Cara will guide us in reflecting on where God is when we find ourselves on the border of our own Jordan River. During worship, we will celebrate communion and the Faith Singers will provide special music.
This week is Camp Sunday! We will read from Jeremiah (Jeremiah 18:1-6) and Isaiah (64:8). Pastor Cara will guide us in thinking about how we have been shaped over the year. We will also hear about people’s experiences with camp and raise money to send members to camp this summer! Rick Crozier will provide special music.
This week we read the Gospel of John (John 20:19-31). Rev. Kathleen Weber, our District Superintendent, will help us reflect on our gifts and what Jesus is calling us to do. The Faith Singers will provide special music.
This week we finish reading the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 28:16-20). Andy Lang will help us reflect on what it means to be a disciple in the 21st century. The Connections Band will provide special music.
This week we will read the Easter story from the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 28:1-10). Pastor Cara will guide us as we reflect on what ecosystems and resurrections have in common. The Faith Singers and Rejoice! Ringers will provide special music. Don’t miss the annual tradition of singing the Hallelujah Chorus at the close of the service!
This week we will read and sing together the stories from Jesus’ last week, including his entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and his crucifixion on Good Friday. The Faith Singers and Rejoice! Ringers will provide special music.
This week we complete our Lenten sermon Series, Earth Parables. We will read from the Hebrew Bible (Isaiah 41:9-10) and from the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 13:24-43). Pastor Cara will guide us as we reflect on the power of weeds and hope in our lives. The Faith Singers will provide special music.
