Free tax preparation sessions with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program will be available by APPOINTMENT ONLY on February 8, February 29, and March 14 between 10am-3pm at the Puyallup United Methodist Church location.
Returns will be filed and submitted electronically. (Please note that returns with rental or farm income cannot be processed at these sessions). At your appointment, you will need to bring:
1) Proof of valid Social Security numbers for each person on the return, including dependents. (Proof can be in the form of a valid Social Security Card; a tax return for a previous year prepared by a Tax-Aide; Federal or State forms such as Unemployment Insurance; or a Social Security statement showing actual benefits received).
2) Valid picture ID for taxpayer. (Driver’s license or Passport).
3) Your spouse if Married Filing Jointly.
4) All tax documents, especially last year’s return, and all proof of income and expenses with totaled expenses in each category (e.x. charity, medical, medical miles, et cetera). If you paid Real Estate Taxes bring your Real Estate Tax receipt even if you are not itemizing.
5) A blank check (not a deposit slip) with your bank account information.
